Guest Review - A. Mcguire, March 2026

“We had an incredible getaway to Barnie. It was the perfect spot to relax and switch off from our busy lives. Amazing setting, surrounded by birds, nature, and water views. Our host was so welcoming. We would love to return one day.”

Is Barnie dog-friendly?

Yes, your dog is very welcome at Barnie! Dogs love the space, fresh air, and fresh smells just as much as their humans do.

To help keep everyone safe and the property well cared for, dogs need to stay under control and on a lead. Barnie is surrounded by native birdlife and sits beside a tidal harbour, so a little extra care goes a long way.

Please bring your dog’s bed or crate, bowls, towels, and anything else they need for a comfortable stay. We also ask that paws stay off the furniture and that any little deposits are collected using the pooper scooper provided.

Dogs must not be left alone in Barnie or elsewhere on the property. Whether you are relaxing at the retreat, walking along the harbour’s edge, or heading out kayaking, your dog will need to remain with you.

If you need a dog-sitter for a short time, please ask, as we may be able to help.

We love sharing this beautiful barn with guests and their dogs, and we truly appreciate the care you take in looking after it during your stay.
